Jumping Poles
Built for Champions. Approved for Competition.
Choosing the right jumping pole isn’t always easy. Many suppliers sell poles as an afterthought to fence posts, and while they may look the part, they often fail to meet the strict FEI (Fédération Équestre Internationale) standards required for international competition.
At Mercygates, we do things differently.
Why Standard Poles Fail
Shrinking problem: Fence posts are typically measured wet, straight after impregnation. As they dry, they shrink up to 8–10%—meaning your “100 mm pole” may end up just 90 mm, and disqualified by the FEI.
Core wood cracking: Poles cut with core wood are prone to splitting. The inner core dries slower than the outer wood, leading to large, dangerous cracks.
The Mercygates Advantage
Precision Sizing – We only use dried raw materials, so our poles hold their exact dimensions—no shrinkage, no surprises.
Crack-Free Strength – Our poles are carefully cut to exclude core wood, preventing splits and extending durability.
Laminated Excellence – For top-level competition, we supply laminated (engineered) wood poles. Made from multiple wood layers bonded with high-strength adhesives, they are stronger, safer, and more resistant to warping, twisting, or shrinking.
Designed for International Competition
Every Mercygates jumping pole meets or exceeds FEI standards:
Material: 100% wood (laminated for elite competitions)
Length: 3.5–4.0 m (11.5–13 ft)
Diameter: 100 mm (4 inches)
Safety First: Poles are smooth, stable, and designed to fall easily on impact—protecting both horse and rider.
Trusted by professionals worldwide, Mercygates jumping poles combine safety, durability, and performance—so you can focus on winning, not worrying about your equipment.
